Today your dream holiday begins as you fly from India to Kenya with stopover(s) along the way.
Lean back and relax so that you are ready for an amazing and intense experience once you arrive in Kenya.
The days ahead of you will undoubtedly bring lots of experiences and leave you with fantastic memories of Kenya’s magnificent national parks, beautiful savannahs, and diverse wildlife, as well as Mombasa’s palm-clad sandy beaches.
If you arrive the same evening, your guide will take you to a hotel near the airport, where you will spend the night.
After a hopefully pleasant flight, you will arrive to Nairobi Airport, where your guide will be waiting to welcome you – possibly with a “Karibu”, which means “Welcome” in Swahili.
If you have arrived the night before, the guide will pick you up at the hotel after breakfast.
Your driver will take you directly to Lake Elementaita where you will check in and have the rest of the day at your disposal.
Take a dip in the swimming pool, treat yourself to a relaxing massage, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
After breakfast, your guide will take you to the Lake Nakuru National Park, which boasts an impressively rich wildlife.
The shallow and saliferous Lake Nakuru attracts more than 400 bird species including the characteristic flamingo, which is why we call this trip Flamingo Safari. Huge flocks of flamingos are often seen by the lake – a very impressive sight.
The park is also known for its large population of white rhinos and is one of the national parks in Africa with the greatest chance of spotting the shy leopard. Lions, hippos, buffalos, giraffes, zebras, impalas, and pelicans are also common sights in the park to name a few.
After an eventful game drive, you will proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve where more amazing experiences await.
Enjoy the morning breeze and experience the daybreak on the savannah when going on an early game drive before breakfast.
You will also have the opportunity to go on a magical morning ride in a hot air balloon, followed by breakfast with bubbles on the savannah (extra charge).
The Masai Mara is one of the most famous national parks in the entire world and is known for its endless plains, its characteristic, cattle guarding Masai people, and its exceptional wildlife including giraffes, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, hyenas, and an impressive array of bird species.
The reserve is also known as one of the best places to experience The Big Five: the elephant, the rhino, the buffalo, the lion, and the leopard.
After an eventful game drive, you return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.
In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to go on a late game drive on the savannah, experiencing even more of the magnificent, African wildlife.
The Masai Mara might be famous for its large population of mammals, but the national reserve also boasts an amazing birdlife with more than 450 different bird species.
Well stocked with impressions and memorable experiences, you will return to the lodge.
One more day in the Masai Mara? No need to worry. This amazing area has even more to offer. The Masai Mara is home to an abundance of animals that are constantly on the move, so there is no risk of getting bored or experiencing the same animals several days in a row.
You will spend the entire day in the wonderful national reserve, which is named after the Mara River and the Masai people who live here and is known for the three large cats – the lion, the cheetah, and the leopard.
On a safe and cosy spot, you will enjoy your packed lunch, while enjoying the view of the Mara River where large crocodiles are waiting for one of the big animals to cross the river.
If travelling between July and October, you might have the chance to experience the Great Migration – known as one of the Seven New Wonders of the World. More than one million wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles cross the Mara River to graze on the lush plains of the Masai Mara.
Witnessing the Great Migration from the first row is a truly amazing experience! But even if travelling outside this period, the world-renowned Masai Mara has plenty to offer with its fascinating wildlife and endless plains.
After another wonderful game drive, you will return to the lodge to relax and enjoy your last night in the iconic Masai Mara before heading to the picturesque beaches of Mombasa in the morning.
Today it is time to say goodbye to the Masai Mara. Your guide will pick you up at the lodge and take you to the airport where you will board the plane to the coastal city of Mombasa – Kenya’s second largest city.
Upon arrival to Mombasa, you will be greeted by a driver who will take you to your luxurious hotel.
It is now time for a relaxing beach holiday where you will have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful white sandy beaches and the turquoise crystal-clear Indian Ocean.
Mombasa offers everything you need for a luxurious and relaxing beach holiday.
Take a dip in the crystal-clear Indian Ocean, or build sandcastles in the soft, white sand. Read a book in the shadow of a palm tree, go for a swim in the inviting swimming pool, or indulge in a relaxing massage at the hotel spa.
If you prefer a little more action, snorkelers and scuba divers can explore the fascinating life under the surface of the ocean. The spectacular coral reef off the coast of Mombasa is known for its crystal-clear blue water and its abundant marine life including starfish, crabs, multi-coloured angelfish, butterflyfish, lionfish and larger marine life such as sharks, rays, turtles, and dolphins.
You can also go on a boat trip to experience dolphins or deep-sea fishing, or you can visit the old city with its charming, narrow streets where you can purchase local crafts, and culinary experiences ranging from fine dining to exotic street food.
There is no doubt that Mombasa is a paradise for hedonists looking for a relaxing and luxurious beach holiday!
